How to lose inches


How many pounds does it take to lose 6 inches off your upper body?

I am a male and every Sunday I dress in my $200 suits now i want to drop my suit size by like 3 sizes. My friend says that losing 6 inches off your upper body is probably about 5lbs that you'll have to lose. Is he correct.
