How to lose inches


how little food must I eat to lose weight??

If I eat healthy food, fruit, veg, wholemeal bread, chicken, fish, I put weight on. If I eat diet food, rice cakes, diet crisps, weightwatchers microwave meals, I lose weight. Surely the healthy food is better but I want to weigh less. I'm 9st 10lbs, 5 foot 4 inches.

  8. if your eating fruit and veg but in large quantities you will still gain weight. Just try to eat a balanced diet but in smaller quantities. Instead of having 2-3 large meals a day try having 6 smaller ones.
  9. I'm not sure what you said but the ideal body weight for that height is 100-120lb. Besides muscle weighs more than fat. Don't look at the scale. Get a tape measure and try and cut inches from your waistline.
  10. Excercise your ass off! Seriously. And eat the healthy food. It's better for you anyways. Just cut down on carbs and fats. Load up on protien, too. It'll help alot. Just excercise and you'll be fine.

Take a look on the label of for example Weight watchers and see how many calories (energy) it has. It is probably about 400-700.Then look at the calories in a glass of fruit juice in is probably about 150. Pick a typical day and add up the numbers for what you ate. Compare that with the 2000 calories that they recommend for a day. If your total is more then you will gain weight no matter how healthy the food is. if it is less then you will lose weight. Every time the total you take in is less than what your body uses by 3500 calories you will lose a pound. Eating the healthy foods means that you are getting the nutrients you need but it is still the arithmetic on calories that tells the "lose weight" story.

  17. Hi, First of all you are not overweight so you don't need to worry about it too much! There is a really good calorie calculator on the website below. You must take into accordance how much you exercise weigh etc to know how many calories it will take to lose weight. Please remember not to cut out too much or your body will start burning off muscle. I really think you'll find this web site helpful Also watch out for those micro meals, they are really not that good for you! Take the receipe ideas from them and try and make them yourself.

  20. Do NOT go on starvation diets! You will lose weight, but the smart body that you have will try and survive by burning muscle tissue. Smaller portions, 6 times a day, minimal amounts of refined products, minimal amounts of fired food ( I would say none instead of minimal but no one would listen to that, including me). And exercise!   21. Whatever you do dont Starve yourself! I stopped eating last year for 4 - 6 months and i dont know why i couldnt look at food without bawking and if i tried 2 eat it i couldnt 'cos i would bawk that much, but after about 5 months i started eating gradually dont know why i went down to a size 6 and i was a 10 - 12 i weighed 8 and half stone and lost 2 and half stone within the months and i am 4ft 10 it is so horrible not being able to eat i looked all skinny and weak i am now a size 8 and happier than i was when i was a size 6, now i cant stop eating i just dont seem to put weight on but i have gained a bit and everyone says i look better lol i am now 7 stone or 7 and half. So dont starve your self its not worth it, just diet and exercise eat 3 healthy meals a day and if you feel like a snack have some fruit or a youghurt go the gym 2 - 3 times a week. Good luck.
  22. Right now I`m on a diet which they bring the food to my house, it`s healthy food and really small portions!! If you eat chicken, eat only half of a small chicken breast, and a small portion of salad, no carbs. The only carbs you can eat are wholewheat bread only one toast in your breakfast and one toast in the afternoon around 5 pm. For dinner also only salads really small portions.And most important you have to exercise everyday for at least 45 min. If you get hungry between meals eat diet jello all you want and drink at least 2 lts of water all day long. ohh also no sugar ( u can use equal or sweet n low),candies, sodas not even diet ones.

Chew each mouthful at least 50 times, it is strange but sends messages to your brain you are eating more that you are and also aids digestion (which can cause weight gain) It also takes longer to eat your meal also giving time for your brain to receive messages you are full preventing over eating. Try it it works!!!

  25. Sweetie, you have to realize that: what works for one person may not work for someone else! Try and experiment and stick with something that works for you. With me, cutting out the Carbohydrates made me lose a lot of weight really quickly, not for my boyfriend though. It`s not the weight that is important but how it is distributed throughout your body. Also, use a measuringtape to measure yourself instead of the scale where you can`t tell if you lost any weight on your stomach or your arms... Good luck
