Need to lose 5 inches off my stomach (only) SUPER FAST for Military BootCamp, how can I do it?!?
BootCamp is coming, I was told to drop 5 inches off my belly FAST. I'm 6'7 and 265, I cut Calories to 1200, Carbs to 70 and Fat Grams to 40. I also walk/run 4 miles twice a day (8 total miles) and drink NO caffeine, only 8 glasses (64 oz.) of water a day......is this OK or too drastic? If there is anything else I should be doing, please advise! I forgot to add that the 8 miles a day is 7 days a week, on top of 40 jumping jacks/40 sit-ups a day (7 days a week as well)

- When I was in the Army we would have to do the check in every year, The first couple of years were no problem, then I started to bulk-up some, in order to keep the inches off I would do body rapping. It is safe and it helps with the inches. As for the rest 40 sit-ups is nothing, you should be adding 5 every two weeks. Running is good, so is swimming and arobics. Yes we Army people do Arobics. Drink more water, you should be drinking about 10 or more a day if you are working out a lot, you don't want to dehydrate. Also cut back on meat, carbs are good before a work out. Enjoy BootCamp, I did.

Take care and God Bless !
- You are eating too few calories. Your body is probably going into "fight or flight" mode. 1200 calories a day when you are running 8 miles is only going to make your body hold on to the fat it's got. You aren't eating enough to fuel your runs therefor your body is tapping into carbohydrate and protein stores, not fat. If you up your calories by another 400 or so a day you'd get better results. Also, up your protein intake to about 20% of your daily diet and up your carbs some. If you aren't getting enough carbs you're body is only going to hold on tighter to the ones you do eat and will essentially store them as fat.
