I need to lose inches off my thighs and stomach! Advice?

I have a show in two weeks, and some of the outfits are very form fitting. I have really thick thighs and excess fat on my hips and around my tummy that I need to get rid of. If you have any exercise advice or ideas or anything, that would be wonderful!!

  1. two weeks? Honestly the only thing that is going to save you is some starvation and a lot of crunches. other than that your not going to lose much in two weeks. Very unhealthy way to do it too....
  2. jogging, jogging, and more jogging!
  3. 1.) Your biggest goal is to lose fat. Drink lots of water, cut down on portions and junk food, and don't eat anything after dinner. There's no way to reduce fat just on your thighs and stomach. This is called "spot reduction", and is a myth. But, you can strenthen your abs and legs: 2.)For strengthening your abs: Lie down with your back on the floor. Put your legs out but make sure there is a slight curve in them and your feet are flat on the ground. Then, interlock your fingers behind your head, stretch your elbows out so they're 180 degrees away from eachother, and do some crunches! Do as many you can in one set. You can also do the above exercise but alternate (L Elbow-R Knee, R Elbow-L Knee) to work on your side abs. 2.) For strength training, which helps burn fat throughout your entire body, see http://www.cbass.com/Furey.htm ... look at "The Bridge". Remember: to see defined legs and stomach, you need to lose fat. Just make sure you dump out all the junk for a few weeks!
  4. Hi, I would suggest both cardio (at least 30 min. daily) and some ab toning excercises. Getting an excercise ball for the ab stuff would be good as well as a medicine ball. As for cardio, either running (if you have good knees and ankles) or eliptical, which is easy on the joints. There's websites for different ab toning excerices, just do a google search. But definitely both cardio and toning are equally important. Diet is also a huge factor. Good luck!
