Stupid question but am reading a lot of the "how do I lose inches off thighs/calves" etc?
If you weigh less, lose weight over all do your thighs and calves slim down naturally due to carrying less weight????? This was just one of those questions, there have been loads of how do I lose weight off my thighs and calves and I thought well maybe your general weight may be an issue as well. I do cycling and swimming and thighs are reducing nicely :o).

- Dont worry aboutit , we all need to eat correctly and take plenty of exercise , at times its hard, but it must happen in most circumstances MJR
- Mine do, although I'm not overweight. If I lose a couple of pounds, I can see the difference. Exercise will improve the muscle tone but be careful not to bulk out the muscles. Ask someone in the gym which machines to use.
- If you lose weight the fat goes from all areas of your body. Some areas have more fat cells than others so the loss of inches is more apparent. If you exercise then your muscle will tone up and appear to be smaller.
- It will depend how much weight you lose. I would imagine that yes, they will slim down naturally if you lose weight, however, we can't choose which areas we lose weight from, and therefore, if you only lose a little weight, it may fall from other areas first. I am currently trying to lose weight, and joined a gym a couple of months ago. After my 1st month, I hadn't lost any weight, but had lost 1" from each of my thighs due to building muscle (i.e. some of my fat had turned to muscle & muscle is not as bulky as fat). I did not drastically change my diet or anything - still had hangover food @ the w/end e.g. Mac D's etc. Therefore, it's possible to lose inches without necessarily losing weight, but I think your best bet would be to diet & exercise, this way, it will maximise your results as you will lose inches AND weight and will more likely see results quicker.
- to be honest the best way is not to go on a diet as ive tried them all and diet pills and they dont work lol but just change your diet and go swimming 4-5 times a week for about an hour each time it tones your tummy and all your body up wonderful too ! i lost 2 stone since may its great and i eat loads too im just eating the right foods but instead of swimming try aqua arobics its great and really fun ! great question star for you and goodluck !
