Hey Parents, me being a teen do you think i should lose, GAIN or maintain my current WEIGHT?
Heyyy there! i just got back from a doctors appt. the other day for a yearly physical. My weight was a modest 227, waist was but a 46 inches, chest 44, etc. etc. AND i stood a decent 5'10. It was about a year or so ago when i decided that i wanted to GAIN weight not LOSE it! At the time i was around 165 lbs. & was quite thin. So i decided to "pack on the pounds" per say... Now about a year, 66lbs. & plenty of inches & marks later. i am quickly approaching my 18th birthday! i would like to know what to do? For the past few months or so i have not tried to gain any weight... Nor have i tried to lose any... I've pretty much stayed the same. As i speak i wear a comfortable 38 jeans! i have a fair share of "sexy" stretchy marks on my love handles/hips & quite a few on my inner thighs too... i personally dont know if this is a bad thing or not... Anywaaay, any help or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank ya in advance, ~E! (Honestly i got the urge to continue getting fat) OH YEAH MY BODY FAT IS 31% Blood Pressure is 140/100

- Don't gain anymore and you will be fine. You don't sound to be to big because you said you stand 5' 10", so you are not short and fat. But i think a size 36 jeans would be better.....
- You know, I think that if make a good stab at eating a balanced diet, including meat, 2 veggies per meal, whole grains, dairy.... things will go well for you. Include daily exercise, too. Some jogging, or walking half an hour per day, etc. Biking, or swimming, etc. At least half an hour of exercise every day, and you will soon feel and look great.
- BP is 140/100! Uh yes If you want a double bypass as a birthday present. Any bottom number over 90 is hypertension or High blood pressure. What they should have done, if I was the doc is have an orthostethic pressure on you. Meaning bp when you stand sit and lay down. That way they could have better knowledge of plaque buildu and how active you are. I'm not saying go starve yourself or shame on you, because your a big boy and knew that. I would just ask that you save yourself and start getting more fit and loose a lil pudge. Good luck and god bless!
- Dude, let me tell you. Being fat is not fun. My brother did the same thing as you and he is now trying to lose all of the fat, because of the complications with your physical fitness. What you CAN DO to gain weight is go on a diet, but get a hardcore lifting/running routine. Muscle weighs more than fat, so if you build a lot of muscle, it will actually help you gain weight faster than eating a lot, and not exercising and getting fat. You will also need a diet, and usually a lifting diet (for me) is eating less portions of food, and thats it. Limit yourself to 1800 calories a day. Those 1800 calories can come from junk food or whatever, just don't go over 1800 calories. You will have to work out for this diet to work. Comon. Do it. The ladies love ripped guys.
