Shall i Lose, Gain or Maintain my Weight?
Heyyy there! i just got back from a doctors appt. the other day for a yearly physical. My weight was a modest 227, waist was but a 46 inches, chest 44, etc. etc. AND i stood a decent 5'10. It was about a year or so ago when i decided that i wanted to GAIN weight not LOSE it! At the time i was around 165 lbs. & was quite thin. So i decided to "pack on the pounds" per say... Now about a year, 66lbs. & plenty of inches & marks later. i am quickly approaching my 18th birthday! i would like to know what to do? For the past few months or so i have not tried to gain any weight... Nor have i tried to lose any... I've pretty much stayed the same. As i speak i wear a comfortable 38 jeans! i have a fair share of "sexy" stretchy marks on my love handles/hips & quite a few on my inner thighs too... i personally dont know if this is a bad thing or not... Anywaaay, any help or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank ya in advance, ~E! i GAINED in the 1st place because i was so damn thin (i still feel as tho i am) AND i had the desire to become reeeally fat... Which i unsucessfully attempted. i GAINED in the 1st place because i was so damn thin (i still feel as tho i am) AND i had the desire to become reeeally fat... Which i unsucessfully attempted :-\

- your weight sounds perfect! you definitley dont need to lose any weight, just keep up a healthy lifestyle. maintain your wait, for sure!
- i'm sure you played football or some type of sport hence the weight gain. the doctors will tell you by their standards you are obese. truthfully you should come down to at least 205 max for your height of which the doctors will STILL say you're obese but, you will look much more proportional. if you're still lifting weights and dont want to do it any more stop slowly and decrease your caloric intake and cut down on the fats as well.
- Honestly I'm tired of people being so concernedwith their weight. And I'm being a total hypocrite because I care too, but everyone needs to chill out. Just one question: Are you comfortable in your body? If so then enjoy it, have fun!
- Did your doctor not give you weight advice? Surely they would have noticed the increase and told you that it really is a good idea to lose weight. Currently you seem to be in the obese range in weight as you have a BMI (body mass index) of 32 (30+ is considered obese) The normal range is approx from 18.5 to 25 and sorry to say, a year ago you were well within that range at 23. You should try and lose some weight at least in order to avoid the health problems that you may one day get at your current weight.
