How to lose inches


How can i lose weight off of my thighs?

Im 9 stones which is healthy for my age but I have quite big thighs I was wondering if there are any excerises or diets I could do to take some wieght off my thighs they are 21 1/2 inches and I just want them to go down a few inches any ideas!

  2. bike, swim, do yoga, use the stairs all the time, use one of those step machines. good luck!
  3. Well be careful...if you do big workout for legs you will only replace your fat by muscles...I don't find big muscles pretty on a woman. You can't really lose weight in only one spot of your body it's been studied many times. If you're happy with your body why worry about your thighs....learn to accept them and to use them to your advantage.

The best thing is anything that will tone ytour thighs but in moderation so that your muscle mass doesnt build too much as your thioghts will get bigger. Try a mixture of exercises, sports, stretches and resistance movements such as: swimming, cycling, running, walking, any sports that involve runnign around, exercise classes, yoga, squats, lunges etc good luck

  8. Forget targeting your thighs, as already pointed out you can't lose fat from one part of the body. Unless you just want to lose weight generally (if so, the best way is to burn-up more calories than you consume), you have two options: 1. Tone up the upper legs with more exercise than you get already - running, cycling, rowing elliptical etc, or 2. Accept that you have quite big thighs (which though it is your perception, it may not be sombody elses).
  9. Hi, It's sounds like you have a petite build, so your thighs are probably down to your genetics or type of exercise you do. So I would say start off with doing 20 - 30 mins cardio in the morning on a empty stomach, this way your body has to use bodyfat and your muscle mass for fuel. Second thing to do is follow a low GI eating plan (which you can get from any bookstore) which will consist of Protein (chicken, Fish, Nuts and Pulses) and low GI carbs like Wholemeal Bread, Brown Rice, Sweet potatoes and good fats like olive oil, Avocados, Fatty fish and Nuts. Also each week try and up your cardio by 5 mins every 2 weeks until you can complete a full hour, this way there is no room for your body to get complacent.
