  1. When we want to get rid of body fat, there is no way to specifically burn fat from one part of the body. Doing situps won't burn the fat that is covering your abs and doing tricep extensions won't get rid of the fat that is covering your triceps. The only thing you can do is lose weight all around and eventually the problem area will also improve. The way to burn fat is through a calorie restricted diet in conjunction with an exercise routine that will burn calories. Activities that burn calories include running, biking, swimming and other high intensity activities. Guide to Reducing Body Fat - http://straighthealth.com/pages/guides/reducebodyfat.html
  2. go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food after 7 p.m. I know a woman who lost 60 pounds a month on it. She did nothing else!
  3. Yes! I did a really crazy cleanse diet given to me by a great doc and really worked on exercising 60-90 minutes every day and I lost 3 inches in one month! That was in the beginning when I had a lot of weight to lose but now that I'm down in weight and maybe could stand to lose another 15 lbs, it's really hard to get rid of those last inches and may take me another year, who knows? So, my point is eating super healthy (NO JUNK!), cardio at least 1 hour with weights added after the 1 hour cardio will shrink your waist for sure! You just have to be really diligent and very consistent to see these kind of results in a couple of months. Good Luck!
  4. It is possible. I lost 5 inches from my waist and 5 1/2 inches from my hips in 8 weeks. Note that it took diet and exercise. I am 5'6" and I started out at 32" waist and 44 1/2" hips, I ended up at 27" & 39". I am now at 27 1/2"-28" & 39", not as strict, but I walk more to get places. Insert your own healthy, calorie-comparative choices and drink 8-14 glasses of water per day, and write EVERYTHING down, including measurements of food, weight, exercise, and water. Breakfast: 1 egg scrambled with onions and bell peppers (use cooking spray or a littel bit of olive oil) OR over-medium egg with a piece of whole wheat toast Snack #1: Apple with 1 1/2 Tbsp. peanut butter (avoid ones with partially-hydrogenated oils in the ingredients, though) OR a piece of fruit with 1/4 cup lightly salted almonds Lunch: Lean Cuisine and a piece of fresh fruit or whole wheat bread with no-sugar-added jam. Snack #2: 6" Whole wheat tortilla with 1 Tbsp. PB (try a tiny bit of honey, too) OR 1 oz. Baked tortilla chips with 2 Tbsp-1/4 cup black bean and corn salsa Dinner: Same as lunch, maybe an extra piece of whole-wheat bread or a larger-size Lea Cuisines Snack #3: 1/2 cup Dryer's (also sold as Eddy's) slow churned vanilla ice creams with a Thin Mint Cookie from the Girl Scouts ( a special treat!) OR A 90-100 calorie Quaker's granola bar with 1 cup skim milk Exercise: 45-60 minutes cardio 5-6 days/week Weights 30-45 minutes 3-5 days/week
