  1. If you do weight training, but go for maximum reps vs maximum weight, you'll burn off calories. If you try to max out at 10 reps, try lowering to a weight where you can do up to 20.
  2. weight training will add muscle, if you have a fat layer, it will be converted to muscle and muscle is more compact than fat, it also weighs a bit more than the same mass of fat. So, chances are you will trim some inches in some places, and add some bulk in others.
  3. Lifting heavy weights will bulk you up with big muscle. If you just want to tone, use lighter weights and do more reps. Like, lift about 70% of your max and do 3 sets of 10-12 reps. It will burn fat, tone your muscles and you'll good and feel good as a result.
  4. weight training increases your muscle mass, which increases your weight and size. however, muscle requires lots of energy to maintain. if you increase your muscle mass, your basal metabolic rate increases, which helps you to lose fat. if you are a fat man, weight training helps a lot. you expel energy both during training and while recovering. AND it increases your metabolism. You will tone your body and lose inches too.
  5. Well with wieght training if you want to lose inches it'll be slower than if you do an aerobic excercise like running, or bicking. With wieght training you will be gaining muscle while losing fat so it would take a while for results in fact its like that for everyhting but wieght training will definitly take a while, but Im guessing you want muscles so you could go with it. If you wanna lose it faster do something to get your heart pumping and lose calories. (but running and bicking arent the only options, just look up aerobic excercises) Just remember to eat healthy to that help with the losing inches. hope i helped
