How to lose inches on waist and hips?
What's the best way to lose about 3 inches on my hips and two on my waist? Should I do cardio, or do specific exercises for those areas? Or just diet and exercise in general? Thanks!

- you have to do a combanation of both. easy just watch what you eat and do a combination of exercises to challenge your body.
- Everyone has a trouble spot. It can be around the stomach, thighs, arms or chest. No matter where your trouble spot is, the solution is exactly the same. You need to eat less and exercise more. The reason why there's only one solution for all of these problems is because it's impossible to tell your body where to burn the excess fat from. When you eat too many calories, your body stores the excess energy as fat in different areas around the body. To lose this fat, you need to create a calorie deficit (eat less than you burn) to force your body to start burning that fat for energy. There is absolutely no way to control where your body goes to find this extra fat. The larger your calorie deficit (a bigger calorie deficit means a bigger difference between what you eat and what you burn) the faster your body will burn excess fat and the quicker your body fat percentage will start to decrease. You can increase your calorie deficit by cutting your daily intake and exercising more. Sit ups will do nothing to target the fat around your abs just like squats will do nothing to target the fat around your thighs. You can read more about fixing your trouble spots at the Guide to Reducing Body Fat - http://straighthealth.com/pages/guides/reducebodyfat.html
- Start by changing the way you eat. I dont have any info as to your daily diet, but most invdividuals should start there. Here is some beginning info: http://www.getfitjersey.com/nutrition-tips/why-cant-i-lose-weight/ You cant spot target fat, so you shouldnt do just exercises for those areas. Do a full body workout routine that focuses on using the most muscles in each exercise. For example, a squat will work legs, butt, and core, as opposed to a crunch that just works the abs. At the link listed there is also a bodyweight manual that could probably get you started.
- A lot depends on your age but as Oprah says there are no magic pills out there or she would have found it. Simple logic. Eat less food and particular junk and starches, exercise and you'll loose inches. Do specific exercises at least once a week for those areas you want to trim. It takes time but you will succeed. I do have a suggestion for something that has worked for me a 65 year old guy who rides a road bike. I cut in half my junk food, I do cardio and I take an appitite surpressant which really works. Got to this site and read about the GBG's 10 in 1 Formula Vitamins. They do have a great vitamin which has a mild food craving depressant in it but for more serious work go and order their GBH Energy which has a multitude of things to help.
