I want to understand how, although, I am not losing weight, I am losing inches. How does that work?

- If you are exercising, specifically resistance training, you are building muscle. Your fat cells are shrinking.
- It depends on if you are working out rigorously or not. It could be a body recomp is happening, where the weight you lose in fat, which would result in a loss of inches in many areas, is being equally replaced by the same weight in muscle, which will develop in places other than what is commonly measured when people check their weight. This is almost always a good thing.
- Godre is correct. Muscle weighs four times as much as fat! Losing inches is great news and the scales don't always tell the full story.
- Fat converting to muscle. The same volume of muscle weighs more than the same size glob of fat. It is a good sign. Your muscles are getting larger but your fat is getting smaller.
- R you going to the gym? if you are and your trying to lose weight but you weight the same it might me because you are gaining mussel that's why you are not losing weight when you go to the gym you have to forget the scale and focus on the inches around your stomach.
- your building muscle love. keep up the good work. after a while your matabalism'll peak and the weight'll just fall off. keep it going
