How can i lose inches off of my legs but not necesarily WEIGHT.?

i want to look slimmer but not actually losing weight. i want to lose inches tho even tho i weigh a topn i WANNA look slim.

  1. Cardio (dancing, running etc) teamed with toning exercises (squats, lunges) and pilates to make you long and lean and strong.
  2. The only solution to looking thinner without losing weight, would be gaining muscle mass. I'm not so sure if that's what you would want to do. But just exercise daily, is all i can say.

If you want to lose inches and lean out, then you are going to lose weight because you'll be losing fat...however with proper exercise (the other answers had really good examples) you could gain lean muscle mass, so depending on your current weight, it might not change too much by the time you reach your goal.
  4. No one sees the number on the scale but you, so forget about it. If it goes down fine, if it goes up, fine also. Remaking your body? Look at the sort of athlete that has the look you want, and emulate their training. I suspect cross country runners have the look you want, so start putting in the miles.
