Losing inches, not pounds?

Ever since I had 2 weeks break from dance over the summer I gained 10 pounds, but now that it has started up again all my jeans are too big. When I step on the scale though I weigh the same (112) as I did right after the 2 weeks of no dancing. Why have I lost inches but not pounds?By the way it's not because of muscle because I have the same strength as I ever had.

  1. Muscle weighs more than fat, had this probelm before my self. I exercised like mad for a month and my body shape and measurements all changed. I think you could say this is because you have toned up.
  2. Because you are getting toned up again. You probably grew taller too which would account for the extra weight and muscle.
