  1. well in the meantime....i would stick to drinking only water, or tea (natural) , they will help you a lot! i would also try keeping a food journal (look it up on google! theyll have TONS of stuff on it!) also know u cant spot reduce, but by working out daily, you will lose inches all over. it may take a while but you'll see improvements within 2 weeks if you workout daily. i would run on the track about every day, or run everyother day and walk in between. i would also recomend doing pushups or sittups or crunches not like all the time, but like maybe during commercials when ur watching tv, or like in the shower while shampoo rinces out of your hair (thats what my boyfreind does <3) and also maybe like when your watching tv, pick a word or like a noise or phrase, and whenever you hear it, do 20 jumping jacks or something. this way workingout wont take over your whole life, but youll get it in! good luck!
  2. That's great that you want to lose weight! I know what you mean about not looking your weight. Whenever I step on the scale, I freak. I always wonder if I really weigh that much... and to my dismay I always do. You've got an incredible chance at succeeding in loosing weight. You're in weight training, which forces you to work out, wonderful! You are able to use the track at your school. Running is one of the best ways to measure progress! You can stay away from sweets, fried food, and soda; you wouldn't believe how many Americans would die to have that kind of self control (including me). You are willing to eat vegetables. All this is great. If you're gaining weight and your clothes are getting bigger, my bets are on that you're gaining muscle (which accounts for the weight gain) and your body is slimming down because of it. This means you're off to a good start. I don't know how long it would take for you to lose inches. People could give you an estimate and you might find a calculator that will tell you a number. But none of this is truly accurate, because you have a unique body and lifestyle, and many other variables that won't match up to some average. What would be better is to try this diet and in say, a month, measure yourself, and based on what you find, start making some reasonable goals. Remember that a person can lose around two pounds a week, safely. But it takes around six weeks for you to really see a difference in your appearance. So don't get discouraged if you don't see huge results quickly, because there's nothing quick about changing your entire lifestyle. Know that you're trying your hardest, and that you will see those results if you keep trying. Good luck to you and I hope this was of some help!
