Has anyone tried the bengay wrap?

My Sgt. told me to do the bengay & seran wrap thing right before my next weigh in to quickly lose a couple inches. I know I'll gain it all right back because it's just water weight but it's only until my tape test is done. So question is....Does it really work? If you've ever done it, how many inches did you lose? Is this at all dangerous?

1. it is suppose to work but you know it will all come back as soon as you drink a glass of water.
2. Personally, I prefer a turkey wrap.
3. i've never heard of anything like that in my 45 years on this earth.
