I have two and a half weeks to lose weight before school starts again, any tips to lose inches fast?
I'm 5'9'', 167lb, 14, Very self conscious, And I have a big stomach, thighs and flab around my neck (double chin). I've always been known as the fat chick, and I want to lose weight before school starts. Well, when I say "lose weight", i want to be thinner. I base my looks on a certain size, not a number. When I go back to school, I want people to say "Wow! She looks GREAT!" Every single tip would be appreciated, to help me lose inches and inches, and pounds and pounds, In TWO AND A HALF WEEKS. And i'm not too keen on exercise unfortunately!

- Just try to maintain a healthy diet without making big changes except cutting out fast food, treats and big amounts of carbs.. like bread and pasta. Also drink a lot of water and most importantly work out at least a couple times a week for at least 20 minutes...
- Im 16 not sure how tall i am and weigh 125 and im a guyy i just like pig out once a day then dont realy eat for the rest of the day and i jog just about everyday im happy w/ how i look so iv been doing that for acouple months now
- some things you can do easily to start out is just eating healthier. last year i lost 10 pounds and kept it off by counting calories, quiting to eat fast food, and trying to watch my sodium intake. i only buy low calorie foods, i only eat one serving size at a time and then go back for more after 15 mins if i'm still hungry, you'd be suprised how full you can feel not eating too much. i also would eat things like raw carrots for snacks with out a dipping sauce. they only end up being like 40 calories and you can eat as many as possible.. but also because vegetables are very dense with water they make you feel full faster. try this is worked for me, this year i'm throwing in jogging a couple times a week just to tone up. also just so you know a normal weight for a girl 5'9" is 145lbs. -5ft= 100lbs (+5lbs for each inch taller) ex. I'm 5'7" and weigh 135
- You may not be too keen on exercise - but unfortunately it is the only way that you will effectively lose inches. Cutting down your dietary and calorie intake is not going to quickly lose that weight. Exercising (and gaining muscle) will burn even further fat. Try and find out which exercise in particular bothers you - if its going out eg running, go with a lot of weight training and arm work (or push up's sit ups etc) which you can do at home. If its sweating, try something like swimming. If its boredom, try listening to some music and take a walk/run around an interesting area eg park/lake. Given your time frame, try doing something every day. Drink a LOT of water. Try and cut out as much sugar as possible (or even just fizzy drinks is a good start). Don't have high expectations. At this short of a time, don't set yourself a goal as it will be easy to not reach it in time. If your just happy with whatever progress you have made, by the time you get back to school you will feel more comfortable and more confident. Good luck - and hopefully you will keep up your regime!
- Your expectations are unrealistic. 2 and 1/2 weeks is not enough time to lose a huge amount of weight. Better to set your self a goal for the following year and slowy take weight off through the year. The only way to really lose weight is based on the following... Your input has to be LESS than your output Walking is your best bet if you don't like exercising. Just 30 - 60 minutes a day walking will make a difference to your health. Most of all forget about how others view you. Treat yourself to a new hairstyle and strut into schoolbecause YOU feel you look great.
- you can do it in time. Cut out all cereal, starch and grain based foods. stick to meats and fruits and vegetables, cooked natural with no fatty dressings or coverings. In other words no cereal, bread, pasta, rice, biscuits, cakes, and of couse no fatty junk foods. A simple test is "how long does it take to go off?" Anything that can sit in the hot sun for half a day and still be edible is no good. Excpet for fruit and veges they are okay. The first week you will dump several pounds of fluid, feel flat and deflated a bit, and other periods of being shakey and cravings, as your body adjusts. ignore it its harmless. The second week your metabolism will adjust to the diet and you will feel good again. you can then re introduce milk and dairy into your diet. You will continue to lose a pound a week or so until you reach your natural fit weight. The good news is you are never hungry, you can eat as much lean meat and fruit etc. as you want. Secondly after a few weeks you can occasionally eat all the crap food you want, your system will reject it and pass it out without it putting weight on you. And no exercise needed either.
