I need to lose about 3 inches off my waist before Jan 4th..?
I know that it might seem impossible, but is there some garment someone has tried, or some quick diet? I have a dress I want to fit into, and it fits a 27 waist. I am normally a 29, or 30 on a day I have eaten a lot ;) any help would be greatly appreciated! wow thanks people for your rather ridiculous and unhelpful answers.

- buy a bigger dress size.
- Try crystal meth or cocaine!
- I'm single, fit and have an idea on how I can help you trim down before then ;)
- try taking laxative....
- try dehydration diet, get a paper cup and spit into it every ten or twelve seconds....then throw the cup away and get another one....after a few gallons of fluid you will see that you have lost weight.
- Dehydrate yourself. Only bet. Although you may pass out once you actually make it in the dress. There is no diet that will work miracles. ---------- As for your response, YOU'RE WELCOME!!!! Don't expect a non-ridiculous answer for a ridiculous question. If these answers don't work, think about emergency liposuction then, because other than dehydrating yourself, there's no way you can lose 3 inches. Moron.
- A friend of mine told me about a drink diet...something like that it cleans you out completly you would have to get the recepie from a hi health or vitamin store. Sorry I can't remember what it is called.
- you can a learn a lot from http://maintain-health.blogspot.com/
- It might cost you a little but eat salmon for the rest of your days your planning on losing the weight its great! If you can do those exercises where you move your waist from side to side! Me I belly dance its great!
- i haven't tried it myself but a lot of my friends have and they say the cabbage soup diet works really well, it sheds off about 6-10 pounds in a week, that has to take off something around the waist. if you type in cabbage soup diet on google, it will lead you to the recipe and directions. good luck!
- Eat lots of salads, do plenty of sit ups, try some pilotes, i do them occasionaly and they do tire you out, so that could help. As for a garment, a girdle could help. But it would be uncomfortable.
- Well what you can try is going on a high-fiber diet for the next week and a half. Research shows once you go on a high-fiber diet you lose three times the weight. Always portion control, run/jog at least 45 minutes everyday with walking breaks of course, don't think about drinking soda/juices. Your choice is either water, orange juice, or skim-milk. This website shows you the recommended foods for fiber: http://www.gicare.com/pated/edtgs01.htm Cheers and break a leg tiger~ :)
- Theres this really great exercise that I did in my dance class the other night it really gets your lower abs and I could just feel my stomach getting thinner :P get something at least a foot tall that you can lay on (or one of those big exercise balls things) lay on it with your back and your feet propped up on it and do just regular sit ups I would recommend not putting your arms behind your head cause that just puts stress on your arms and neck. do about 100 of these a day ( yeah sounds crazy but you get used to the feeling) and you'll see results :D and any sit ups will help (crunches won't do the trick thats upper abs)
- Try Body for Life by Bill Phillips. I lost weight quickly on that, and it's healthy food - and you get one free day a week.
- Haha, "ridiculous unhelpful answers" anyways, Heres what I'm doing. I dunno if you'll have enough time I start off with weight training, it's important to do weight training, even if you're a girl and even if you're looking to slim down. Although I'm clueless to how it pertains to size, toning up (doing weight training) will make your body look better. And don't worry, you females don't have enough testosterone to bulk up like me. For weight training...well theres really no way to teach it over the interweb, I hope you have access to a gym, if not you'll need a completely different routine but w/e I'm assuming you have access to a gym. If you do, get a free lesson or a gym walkthrough or something, just get familiar with the equipment and what muscle groups they target. Ok, start your workout w/ lifting. I do this 'cause cardio makes me sweaty and nobody likes sweaty guys sweating all over benches and such. Hit all the main muscle groups, Pecs, Lats (back), Shoulders, Biceps, Triceps, Legs (optional) and Abs. I suggest maybe just one or two "sets" (a set is a group of reps). Each set should consist of about 12-15 "reps" (a rep is doing the motion once). Use low weight, like 5-10 pounds or something. Example Using pushups. One push-up is one rep, 12 consecutive push-ups is a set of 12. The lean aerobic muscle you build off of this should accelerate fat burning in your daily activities like drinking coffee, reading, or greeting neighbors. Then do cardio, (weird I just typed a bunch of stuff and it disappeared) I pick either the stationary bike or the ...umm the weird walking thing, see pic below. For fat-loss the key is getting your heart rate up and keeping it. So just hop onto one of the machines and keep your heart rate up. I don't know your age, but I'm thinking somewhere around 19 beats in 10 seconds is right. I'm 17 and 21 beats in ten seconds is optimal for me. So thats about it, build some slight lean mass to help tone up, and do your cardio. Also do some ab stuff, I suggest crunches, oblique work, and the captains chair. Do your crunches slow, slow up--hold it for 3 seconds and SLOW down. Some tips to help, 3000 Calories = 1 pound, try to lose a collective 3000 over a few days by losing a couple hundred a day. Althoguh I don't know its credibility "Fat is only burned after 12-15 minutes of cardio, for the first bit of time, you're burning carbs" So I'd say do 30 mins of w/e Good luck, I don't think you have enough time though
- try the tips below: 1) Cook your food without any food oil try to use boiled/steamed vegetables, meat, and lot of salad. U can eat fruits too and boiled/steamed chicken or red meat too but no pork. 2) Potato is strictly forbidden during this diet 3) Don’t eat any type of junk food. 4) Drink at least 4 ltr of water daily. Make ur habit to drink water as much as u can 6) use brown bread 7) use skimmed and low fat milk and yogurt 8) no sugar of any type. 9) First try to avoid any type of soft drink but if u really wants to taste some thing sweet then drink diet pepsi if u like, but just one glass once in a week. 10)U can eat vegetable soap too as much as u can but no corn flour in it. 11) if u feel hungry then divide ur diet into 5-6 healthy meals a day (1 plate size only) 12) one bowl of oatmeal can be taken as a break fast The best indoor exercise machine is tread mill.
