  1. 1 week never enough..give ur body time to adapt to the new changes....plus with deiting only u will loose water and muscle mass which will come back sooner or later....try to deit and exercise as well...exercise help u maintain ur muscle mass and help u burn fat faster....again give ur body time 1 week is not good to see any changes and actually if u notice any changes after 2-3 weeks i say u're on unhealthy diet and u will gain weight in no time...u need more time
  2. Ephedra was the Holy Grail of diet plans. It killed my appetite, sped up my metabolism, and gave me sustained ebergy. But the Government put a ban on it claiming that it caused Heart Disease. A claim that had no factual backing whatsoever. Now I see you can still buy Ephedra pills online but I'm not sure the quality is up to par with the way it used to be. Right now I'm finding that diet pills with "South African Hoodia" do a pretty good job of curbing my appetite. So if you want to control your eating then check into Diet pills containing "Hoodia". Rapid Slim is the brand that I use. Sometimes when I take the pills I have to make myself eat due to the loss of appetite.
  3. Unfortunately it doesn't happen fast. It took awhile to put the weight on and it takes awhile to get it off. You can't expect instant success. However I have lost 28 lbs since the beginning of Sept. I'm almost at my goal. (4 more lbs to go) It has been tough, but I have been in the "zone". My daughter is getting married in afew weeks in Jamaica. Not only did I want to look good in the pictures, I have to wear a swimsuit! I am probably older than you (50) and your metabolism slows down when you get older. I've just had to work harder. I go to the gym and workout for 45 minutes. At home I do lunges, squats, and lift weights. If I'm really energetic I ride the stationary bike for 1/2 hr. My diet consists of fish, chicken, fruit, and vegetables. I also eat egg beaters, and soup occasionally. No sweets, no fast food etc. It's tough but worth it. Do you have a goal you can strive for? I should add, I've dropped a couple of sizes, and have lost about 4" from my waist & 3" from ea thigh.
  4. Gaining weight takes time and so does losing weight. Here is something to remember that will help you from the physiological aspect of weight loss: the first 30 minutes that you workout out your body will use up its glucose and glycogen stores. After 30 minutes is when you start burning away your fat. A few nifty tricks that helped me are as follows: 1. Drink 4 glasses of water immediately after waking. 2. after 15 min eat a good size breakfast but leave out the bacon, sausage, and pancakes, eat healthy things like fruit. 3. before eating any meal, eat a spoon full of peanut butter and drink a glass of water, wait 10 minutes and then eat. 4. Don't eat 2 hours before bed time, if you get hungry eat celery or pickles. 5. Instead of eating 3 meals a day, eat small meals all day long (3 hours apart). This helps you body kick that bad habit of storing too much fat and glycogen because it really is not sure when you will eat again. 6. Input minus output equals your weight loss results. If you eat more than usual or you had a bowl of ice cream, go and work it off. 7. Everyone falls off the horse (most people fail on their diet) but don't give up. If you mess up, don't stress it go back on your diet. 8. Good luck on your road to a healthier lifestyle.
  5. All my life, I been a exercise and gym dummies....... I joined the gym back in July and started working out and well still trying to monitor my eating habit........ I have to admit with the holidays, it been a bit hard lately...... Anyway, I have lost 20 pounds, I think about 3 inches from the waist and went from a size 12 almost to 13 to a size 9 now........... I know I am losing it very slowly but my theory is, I didn't put on the weight overnight so I can't expect it to come off overnight either....... Hopefully, I'll be close to my goal by the time I graduates next spring.....Don't give up on yourself !!!! =)
  6. You will never loose much at all in one week. One to two pounds per week is healthy. No one can snap their fingers and have what they want at that moment, whatever they are trying to get. It always takes work. Anything worth having is worth working, and waiting for.
