Is it possible to lose inches without losing a lot of weight?
I've lost 2 1/2 inches off of my hips and stomach area, yet the scale says I've only lost twelve pounds. Does that sound right to you? Is it possible to lose that many inches without losing a lot of weight? I wansn't overweight to begin with, I just wanted to wear a size 6, which fits nicely now. I'm an hourglass shape, by the way. And I'm 5 foot 8

- Yeah you could have gain some muscle when you were working out to lose the weight and muscle takes up less space then fat; so, you look smaller then you actually weigh
- Every body is different, I am the hour-glass shape so I gain in the chest/bust and hip/butt area while my waist stays more narrow. I have friends who are apple women, they gain weight in the belly, while their butts stay small.
- Yes it is so posible!! And i used to hate it too!! But it's because you are losing fat and not muscle! I've only lost about 5-7 ponds and im like 2 sizes smaller from a size 3 to a 1-0. It's because i exercise, and muscle weights more than fat! so i am gaining muscle, and losing the fat, which is good! So feel good knowing that you are only losing the undesirable fat! :)
