- umm.. believe it or not.. but its healthier to run like outside.. or at a track or gym or something.. instead of running in the same place.. umm.. as for losing more inches.. hoolahooping. no joke. do it a lot. and get a weighted one.
- well running in place really won't get you anywhere. it's actually better to walk outside because if you walk 2 miles and run 2 miles you still burn the same amount of calories and fat but just at a different rate. a treadmill may also be good to at a gym or you can buy one. & i've been running and the fat on your body comes off basically the same everywhere. so it may look like you're not losing fat in a particular area but if you keep at it your whole body will start to look better.
- Couple of things to keep in mind. Most runners recommend not increasing more that 10% per week. That means if you run every day for 10 minutes (total of 70 minutes per week) then the next week you should run 11 minutes everyday (total of 77 mPW). The following week would give you an increase of almost 8 minutes per week. I know that sounds like a slow increase but it will help you to prevent injury. Also, don't run in place either run outside and/or get a treadmill. As far a were to expect fat loss, it will depend on each individual. But generally your legs and arms first and then the belly. You should start to see results within the first couple of week. This is generally perfectly healthy, but if you are concerned ask your doctor Weights will also help, but the thing you need to understand is that you will also build some muscle running (not a lot) so don't panic if the inches don't come off to quick. You might be losing fat but not inches (as you build muscle). The main thing is to listen to your body, it will tell you how its doing. After all that I said there are 'programs' for beginners to follow. The Couch to 5k is a popular one that you might be interested in. it can be found at http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml
