Has anyone tried "the wrap" on their body before?
I've been hearing several commercials lately about different companies that have the wrap for your body that will take off 6-20 inches off your body. Has anyone tried these wraps? If so, which one did you try and was it worth the money? How much do they cost anyway? And how many inches did you lose, if any? -Skeptical Interesting... but on the commercials that I've been hearing, they've said "No sweating; this is a seaweed wrap. So you're not losing water weight; if you maintain your weight, then you will keep the inches off." What's that about?

- I tried the wrap once. It will not be for you if you are claustrophobic. They literally wrap your whole body and put you in a sauna bed where you feel trapped. I did loose some inches but keep in mind this is all water weight. I do not recall the name of the wrap I tried but I chose not to go back because I felt faint afterward because of the heat. I did loose some inches but they came back. My friend did it a few times and did see some changes but not for the money she was spending. I would probably suggest it only if you have a big event coming up and you want to loose a few quickly. But you will need to do at least two or three. Otherwise drink lots of water, exercise and you will look and feel better and spend less money.
- I got a "wrap" done a few months ago. I lost 14 inches - keep in mind it's 14 inches total, meaning inches from arms, legs, thighs, each area can be 1-2 inches lost. and it's mostly water that you're losing.
- This is no different than wrestlers doing laps of the gym in plastic suits to sweat off the last few pounds of water to get to a lighter weight class. It has absolutely no effect on fat. Its not especially dangerous if you're in good health and replace the lost water weight right away, but then that defeats the purpose, doesn't it? S-C-A-M
