How to lose inches


lose 3 inches off butt?

i've been a relatively skinny guy for most of my life. the one thing that i have a problem with is my butt. it seems out of proportion to the rest of my body. right now my hips are about 36 inches and i'd like to get em to 33 in about a month. i'm just not sure how to go about it. i run 2 miles (15 min.) 5 x a week. and am doing 100 lunges 5 x a week also. will i see results or am i doomed? i've got some old pictures from another question. but just so you get an idea. and umm a photo of jared followill who i'm trying sculpt myself after. http://s28.photobucket.com/albums/c232/Yetiintelligence/

  1. There's nothing wrong with your butt. The ladies like a little something to hold on to. Just sayin'. Oh, one other thing, lunges will build your butt muscles, so if you don't want large developed butt muscles, stop doing them.
  2. I don't think you have a big ass... But if you still want to do something about it, try deadlifting and/or squatting. Though both are core exercises (meaning they work your whole body), they especially work your glutes (your butt). Good luck, but don't lose any sleep over it. P.S. oh yeah, running and lunges will help tone your legs and butt, too, so you're on the right track. I don't think you're "doomed".
  3. You do NOT need to lose weight!!!!!!!! You are a perfect size in my way of thinking! :-)
  4. WALK WHEREVER YOU CAN! I joined weight watchers last march and lost 42 pounds by August. Also, it certainly wouldn't hurt for me to tell you that portion is everything. Instead of eating a whole candy bar, eat half of one, hell, eat HALF of everything you eat and you will never have a weight problem.Drink 8 - 10 glasses of water a day, green tea is very good for your body as an antioxidant and help subtly speed up the metabolism. Salads (without fatty dressings and cheese) are very good for you, chicken is the king of meat in my opinion, as long as you don't fry it. Avoid fast food entirely, and walk anywhere you can as often as possible and get ahold of the 8-10 minute tae bo if you can. Drink diet sodas and juices (aka - cherry coke zero, sobe lean, crystal light, etc.) avoid sugar, switch to the 100 calorie snack packs, including popcorn. Eat apples, they are very filling! Cheese is an unecessary evil as well, so is milk, if you have to have it, drink the fat free kind. 100 calorie popcorn is a great snack. Eat turkey lunchmeat instead of a whole sandwich, etc. Eating is necessary, over eating is not. I also have a meal shake in place of a meal, I find it incredibly helpful at 3:00 in the afternoon.
