Will it be possible to lose 2 inches off my waist and hips temporarily?
I need to lose 2 inches off of my waist and hip measurments in 1 week so that I can pass a Military tape test that measures body fat percentages. I currently have a 34 inch waist and 44 inch hips, and I need them reduced to 32 and 42 each to pass. I only need a temporary fix, as I have started a normal, actually healthy diet plan, which I know will take some time to get permanent results. I don't want to do anything exceedingly unhealthy, and I have started drinking at least 4 32oz bottles of water per day, I just can't think of anything else to do.

- All I can think of is those creams that dehydrate you (they claim to 'melt fat' or something ridiculous). Or a seaweed wrap which does the same. I'm sure it's not good for you, but if you're desperate then you could do that the day before the test. A friend who does latin dancing taught me an exercise that makes your waist smaller. With your feet slightly apart, move your hips in a figure of 8. If you're doing it right, your stomach will burn, specially in the beginning. I don't know about 2 inches, but it's made my waist visibly smaller in the 2 weeks I've been doing it (it also made me a better dancer, which is what it's actually designed for).
- Visit your local beauty salon and see if they have any wrap treatments available. These can knock a couple of inches off temporarily just to get you through the tape test.
