How to lose inches/weight fast, but without fasting? Hey, I'm 15. 5'6", and 142 lbs. I would love to be down to 130 by September 4th, if that is possible, then be down to 120 by Octobe 10th or so. I've already lost...four pounds in the last two days by cutting my calorie intake into about half. That isn't saying much though, since swim season jsut ended, and I've decided to take a month off from training with the team, which is what most people do. I was eating about 3,500 calories a day before this point. I already feel completely hungry, but am determined not to eat until dinner in about two hours. Any advice? Should I continue to drop my calorie intake until I reach about 1200 per day, or maybe even 1000? I won't be training for three hours a day like I used to, but I hope to get into the water about three hours a week. Should I also start jogging? I get evil shin splints, and my knee is all messed up though. What about a decent diet? I would love to be down below 130 by the time school starts, but I'm afraid I started too late....

Exercise Dvd? I started an exercise routine and diet on December 3rd and I lost 18 pounds but recently I've had a harder time losing! I still have about 32 pounds to go and I exercise every day to "The Biggest Loser" "Walk Away The Pounds" and a Denise Austin DVD. I read that you need to do different work outs each day. I am really committed to my weight loss for the first time in a long time. Does anyone have any DVD's that they like to work out to? I am just looking for suggestions because I am growing bored of my work out routine and I'd like to add something to it but I don't know what. I do a lot of cardio and really enjoy cardio. I really need to target my ABS I lost about four inches but need to lose many more. I want to be healthy and pretty again. I wasn't always fat. Any suggestions would be really nice. I'm looking for cardio, abs and thighs and some strength training. Thanks for any help! And Happy New Year!
I work out 3 times a week - why did I gain weight and inches? I have lost 85 pounds in the last year and a halfand have kept it off for six months. I have been working out with a personal trainer three times a week for this same six months. I do cardio and strength training. Today we did a six month fitness assessment and while my weight is the same, I gained inches everywhere we measured, including FOUR inches in my waist and shoulders. I had the same person measuring, and, if anything, you would think they would want me to have gone down since I need to pay for three more months next week. My clothes are fitting tighter. I have no idea what to do. I have spoken with my nutritionist and doctor and neither one knows what to do. I am 49 years old and weigh 180 pounds. Any advice would be appreciated. I eat oatmeal for breakfast, lunch is nonfat yogurt with a protein pack, and dinner is six ounces of protein and a package of vegetables. I haven't eaten a single bite of junk food in 18 months. I have carbs in the yogurt and oatmeal, but that is it. This is so puzzling.
Weight gain with inches lost on a diet and exercise program? My wife is on a diet and exercise program. Simple calorie counting along with daily exercise. This week she did Pilates four days and walked until fully out of breath on one. When she measured today she was down or equal inches in all areas. Overall she was down almost two inches. Yet between her doctor's visit on Tuesday and this evening, she's up five pounds!? It just doesn't make sense. Her thighs are a bit swolen due to her period time coming up...could the water gain account for five pounds in four days?

Pregnancy Weight Issue and Other? I'm about five foot four inches, I've been a vegetarian my entire life, and I'm obviously preg; 22 weeks and five days along. I'm also 18 years old (no comments about age please, I was married before getting pregnant regardless). I was pregnant before this and we didn't know until I had lost it. Y-Y I had gained a little weight from it and had not lost it. So I weighted maybe about 120 or so before our wonderful baby girl. The mid-wife I'm seeing hasn't said anything about my weight (152 lbs) and says I'm healthy. I know everyone is different, I don't look like I've gained that much. She also meassured my belly and though I was 32 weeks along. I'm not sure what to do. I would like to keep the weight under control but I honestly can't afford to eat that much as is being a vegetarian. I don't understand where 32 lbs can come from. How will I ever be able to lose it? Also I started leaking at 12 weeks?! Is my body just crazy or...?

Concussion Question? Ok, I feel really stupid about this, but I might as well ask... last night i was tossing and turning for a couple of hours, and i was getting really really frustrated trying to fall asleep....i couldnt, and eventually i cursed and kinda socked myself in the side of the head (balled fist, with the part between wrist bone and pinky knuckle...stupid i know...) i didnt lose consciousness right after and i -dont- have a lump on my head, but i immediately thought 'oh shit' right after i did it. (i am a bit of a worrier.) i checked my pupils in the bathroom and they both seemed to respond normally. i guess my questions are this: how hard of a blow does it take for a concussion to occur, and could i have a mild concussion? if so should i worry and was the force even close to strong enough to cause a brain injury.. i would say the force was about equivalent to pounding a fist on a desk from four inches away (in the manner i described) thanks Anyone else? (also, is 420 safe with a possible concussion?)

What is it? A silver part with purple screws...? Okay when I bought my first car I found a weird something in it and I put it on my key chain because it looked really cool, but I lost my keys and I would ask everybody if they knew what it was or what it could be and nobody knew and now its gone and I really want to know what it was. The person that owned my car before me was a business and they said that they used the car to set up like business displays...like a convention booth I think. Thats what I got out of it. But it could also be a peice of equiptment to a car I dont know. It was about three to four inches and silver. It had about five to six holes in it and little purple hollow screws screwed in the holes. Not all the hole had screws but I dont know if that mattered. It also had like a serial number on the side. Please help. Any ideas would be great, I really have no idea what it could be.

Can anyone tell me how many calories I should eat per day to lose anywhere from 50 to 60 lbs.? I am a 30 year old female. I weigh 199 pounds and I am 5 ft. 2 1/2 inches. I am currently working out 4 to 5 days per week doing circuit training for 40 minutes and cardio (treadmill) for 30 minutes. I used to drink sugar Kool-Aid every single day. At least three to four glasses per day. I also used to drink 3 to 4 cans of soda per week, but sometimes I would drink two with my dinner so that would increase the number. I also used to eat Little Debbie snack cakes and sugar candies such as Skittles and Starburst. I was in a habit of eating twice a day (lunch and dinner) and I ate pretty much whatever I wanted. I would dip most all meats and veggies in ranch dressing. I never exercised and I NEVER drank water. Now I am drinking at least 64 oz. or more per day. I was never a huge fan of fried foods. I may have fried catfish or fried okra every now and then. But I have did a 360 as far as eating is concerned. Also, I am now eating 4 to 5 small meals per day. Sometimes dinner is a little more than it should be, but I am trying to work on scaling that down.
Im 5 feet 2 inches tall. I weigh 108 pounds. Should i stop my diet? I have been on a diet for four months now. I used to be 140 pounds. i lost total of 32 pounds. my goal is 105 pounds. should i stop once i reach 105 or should i stop rite now. I was wondering because everyone tells me that i should stop. im worried that once i stop, ill gain everything back be 140 pounds again.
Long but worth it? THIS IS SOME KIND OF CHILLI CONTEST If you can read this whole story without tears of laughter running down your cheeks, then there is no hope for you! *Note: Please take time to read this slowly. If you pay attention to the first two judges, the reaction of the third judge is even better! For those of you who have lived in Texas, you know how true this is. They actually have a Chilli Cook off about the time the Rodeo comes to town. It takes up a major portion of the parking lot at the Astrodome. The notes are from an inexperienced Chilli taster named Frank, who was visiting Texas from the East Coast. Frank: “Recently, I was honoured to be selected as a judge at a chilli cook-off. The third judge called in sick at the last moment and I happened to be standing there at the judge’s table asking for directions to the Budweiser truck, when the call came in. I was assured by the other two judges (Native Texans) that the chilli wouldn’t be all that spicy and besides they told me I could have all the free beer during the tasting, so I accepted.” Here are the scorecards from the event: Chilli #1 (Mike’s Manic Mobster Monster Chilli) Judge #1 - A little too heavy on the tomato. Amusing kick. Judge #2 - Nice, smooth tomato flavour. Very mild. Judge #3 - (Frank) Holy shit, what the hell is this stuff? You could remove dried paint from your driveway. It took me two beers to put the flames out. I hope that’s the worst one, these Texans are crazy. Chilli # 2 (Arthur’s Afterburner Chilli) Judge #1 - Smoky, with a hint of pork. Slight jalapeno tang. Judge #2 - Exciting BBQ flavour, needs more peppers to be taken seriously. Judge #3 - (Frank) Keep this out of the reach of children. I’m not sure what I’m supposed to taste besides pain. I had to wave off two people who wanted to give me the Heimlich manoeuvre. They had to rush in more beer when they saw the look on my face. Chilli # 3 (Fred’s Famous Burn Down the Barn Chilli) Judge #1 - Excellent firehouse chilli. Great kick. Needs more beans. Judge #2 - A bean less chilli, a bit salty, good use of peppers. Judge #3 - (Frank) Call the EPA. I’ve located a uranium spill. My nose feels like I have been snorting Drano. Everybody knows the routine by now. Get me some more beer before I ignite. Barmaid pounded me on the back, now my backbone is in the front part of my chest. I’m getting shit-faced from all the beer. Chilli # 4 (Bubba’s Black Magic) Judge # 1 - Black bean chilli with almost no spice. Disappointing. Judge # 2 - Hint of lime in the black beans. Good side dish for fish or other mild foods, not much of a chilli. Judge # 3 - I felt something scrape across my tongue, but was unable to taste it. Is it possible to burn out taste buds? Sally, the barmaid, was standing behind me with fresh refills. That 300-lb lady is starting to look HOT…just like this nuclear waste I’m eating! Is chilli an aphrodisiac? Chilli # 5 (Linda’s Legal Lip Remover) Judge # 1 - Meaty, strong chilli. Cayenne peppers freshly ground, adding considerable kick. Very impressive. Judge # 2 - Chilli using shredded beef, could use more tomato. Must admit the cayenne peppers make a strong statement. Judge # 3 - My ears are ringing, sweat is pouring off my forehead and I can no longer focus my eyes. I farted and four people behind me needed paramedics. The contestant seemed offended when I told her that her chilli had given me brain damage. Sally saved my tongue from bleeding by pouring beer directly on it from the pitcher. I wonder if I’m burning my lips off. It really pisses me off that the other judges asked me to stop screaming. Stuff those rednecks! Chilli # 6 (Vera’s Very Vegetarian Variety) Judge # 1 - Thin, yet bold vegetarian variety chilli. Good balance of spices and peppers. Judge # 2 - The best yet. Aggressive use of peppers, onions and garlic. Superb. Judge # 3 - I shat myself when I farted and I’m worried it will eat through the chair. No one seems inclined to stand behind me except that Sally. She must be kinkier than I thought. Can’t feel my lips any more. I need to wipe my butt with a snow cone. Chilli # 7 (Susan’s Screaming Sensation Chilli) Judge # 1 - A mediocre chilli with too much reliance on canned peppers. Judge # 2 - Ho Hum, tastes as if the chef literally threw in a can of chilli peppers at the last moment. I should note that I am worried about Judge # 3. He appears to be in a bit of distress as he is cursing uncontrollably. Judge #3 - (Frank). You could place a grenade in my mouth, pull the pin, and I wouldn’t feel a thing. I’ve lost the sight in one eye and the world sounds like it is made of rushing water. My shirt is covered with chilli, which slid out of my mouth. My pants are full of lava-like stuff which matches my shirt. At least during the autopsy, they’ll know what killed me. I’ve decided to stop breathing, it’s too painful. Sod it; I’m not getting any oxygen anyway. If I need air, I’ll just suck it in through the four inch hole in my stomach. Chilli # 8 (Tommy’s Toe-nail Curling Chilli) Judge # 1 - The perfect ending, this is a nice blended chilli. Not too bold but spicy enough to declare its existence. Judge # 2 -This final entry is a good, balanced chilli. Neither mild nor hot. Sorry to see that most of it was lost when Judge # 3 passed out, fell over and pulled the chilli pot down on top of himself. Not sure if he’s going to make it. Poor Dude, wonder how he’d have reacted to a really hot chilli?
Lose weight.? I'm overweight for my height and i really would like to lose alot of it. I'm currently on the pill; and that isn't what made me gain the weight. I gained wait through, to put it bluntly, laziness, not eating properly, from extremes of eating too much to starving myself. But lately, I have been eating a healthy diet; fruit, veg, drinking water etc, joined up for the gym and planned to do 3 hours a week at the Gym. Would it just be best for me to tone up my body rather than try and lose weight seeing as, being on the pill means i can't lose weight? Thank you for any ideas you may have. The weight has lowered my self-esteem and it's quite depressing sometime for when i'm at college LOADS of girls have beautiful figures. Oh also, just randomly with that, I DO NOT want to lose my boobs though, if that makes sence, i want to keep them at that size, but also afraid if i lose fat then my boobs will shrink... thank you
The military is testing a new way to regrow lost body parts.? Motive: Soldiers are returning from Iraq with amputated limbs. Method: "extracellular matrix," the material that tells cells where to go and what to become. It's currently used to repair rotator cuffs, Achilles tendons, hernias, and bladders. The military arranged the test in part because a man photographed his finger's regrowth (after losing the last three-eighths of an inch) over four months. He says his regrown fingertip behaves like a newborn's, staying intact while his other fingertips crack in cold weather. Is this not what Frankinstien was about?
lose weight? I'm a 12 year old girl, going into 7th grade and I'm about 5' 1" and 120 pounds. I'm not muscular or anything. My dad has diabetes type 2 so if I don't lose weight I might get it too. I hardly get excercise but the thing is I hardly watch tv, maybe a few times a week. I have wii at home so if I do that will I lose weight? And for example, if someone gave me a chocolate covered donut or a brownie I wouldn't eat it, b/c I hate things that are extremely sweet. Oh, and should I be a vegetarian? I'm not like obssesed with weight loss like some girls in my grade; I just want to lose weight for my health. I don't mind if I do it gradually. I want to lose weight safely. Thanks so much!
What is the min- and max.... punishment for a Aggravated Malicious Wounding Class 2 charge? OKAY HERE STARTS THE NEW CHAPTER IN MYLIFE. LAST MONDAY DEC.03,2007 AT 7:30 PM I GOT STABBED 11 TIMES. ONCE ON MY RIGHT SIDE TWICE ON THE LEFT. ONE OF THE STAB WOUNDS ON MY LEFT SIDE HIT MY LUNG CAUSING IT TO HAVE A REMEMBER WHICH IS... (pneumothorax, collapse of a lung with escape of air into the pleural cavity between the lung and the chest wall). The only symptom may be a sudden pain in the chest. Physical and radiological examination reveals characteristic signs of lung collapse. In tension pneumothorax (where there is high intrapleural pressure), or if both lungs are collapsed, it is mandatory to remove the air from the pleural cavity immediately.) THIS IS ALSO WHY I HAD TO HAVE TO CHEST TUBES ONE IN EACH LUNG. WITHIN THE FEW DAYS I WAS IN THE HOSPITAL MY LUNGS COLLAPSED SEVERAL TIMES AT ONE POINT THEY WERE EVEN TALKING OF REMOVING MY LEFT LUNG. I RECEIVED THREE STABES TO MY THROAT, ONE THAT CUT MY MAIN PULMONARY ARTERY, THAT ONE CAUSED ME TO HAVE SURGERY, ONE OF THE OTHER STAB WOUNDS ALSO PUNCTURED MY TRACHEA BUT DID NOT HARM MY WINDPIPE OR VOICEBOX. I ALSO GOT STABBED IN MY STOMACH ONCE. I HAD TO HAVE SURGERY THERE ALSO TO MAKE SURE THERE WASN'T ANY INTERNAL BLEEDING GOING ON. I RECEIVED 12 STAPLES FROM THAT... I ALSO GOT STABBED IN BOTH OF MY KNEES AND ON MY RIGHT. ANYWAYS I SPENT 13 OR SO HOURS IN ICU AND THEN WENT TO TRAUMA CENTER AT BAPTIST HOSPITAL IN WINSTON AND I WAS UP WALKING AND TALKING 18 HOURS AFTER ALL OF THIS. I HAD TO KEEP MY FINGER STUCK 2 INCHES IN MY NECK SO I WOULDN'T BLEED TO DEATH THAT NIGHT AND OH YEA I DID DIE THEY LOST ME FOUR TIMES TO BE EXACT BUT ANYWAYS I GOT STABBED AT MY OWN HOME BY A GIRL WHO I TOLD NOT TO COME TO MY HOUSE NUMEROUS TIMES, AND ALSO BECAUSE I GOT IN THE MIDDLE OF THIS GIRL STABBING A FRIEND OF MINE IN HIS HEAD AND HAND... ANYWAYS I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHAT KIND OF PUNISHMENT DO YOU THINK SHE WILL RECEIVE?

Lose Weight.? Ok well Im 14 years old. 5'8"and 230 pounds. I really want to lose some weight. My goal is about 30lbs total but I am just looking to lose about 10 between now and next month. I play football and have football everyday from 3-7. I lose some weight during that time but I come home really hungry and put it back on. Does anyone know anything good to eat that will fill me up but not make me put that weight back on. I lift weights daily after I get home from football, but I want to include some other type of exercise that will help me lose weight but not get extremely tired because I would like to do it in the morning when i wake up to get my matabolism going. I dont really want to run in the morning because I run alot at football so any other good exercise that will help would be great. Thanks.
I need workout tips fast!? Ok over the last four months I have lost close to 15-20 lbs. by just doing nothing. I have seen a big drop in appetite and I am loving the fact that I have lost weight and also inches. Before Thanksgiving I was in a size 10 and now I'm in a size 6 to 8 and loving it. Any tips to getting rid of belly fat and other ugly cellulite before swimsuit season? I don't have an eating disorder and have had a checkup with my doctor and everything is ok. I was at an unhealthy weight before this loss of appetite occured so my doc is happy to see me lose these extra lbs. I am drinking water daily. I just need some easy and fun ways to slim up my midsection and maybe my legs? I am on a tight budget so don't have the type of money to spend on expensive things.

I drank 4 bottles of water today? And counting? Like said above, I drank four bottles of water today, and the day isn't even over yet! I was wondering is too much water bad for you? Because I've been trying to lose weight, and I was reading all these posts that said to drink lots of water-and that's what I started doing. I feel good about it though, (even if it means going to the bathroom more often) because I'm not as hungry and I don't feel the constant need to snack on something. Oh by the way, I'm a 14 year of girl trying to lose about 2 inches from the tummy. Thanks in advance! =]

Lose weight? Hello, my name is Elizabeth and I'm 168 pounds! (5'7''). I have a small bust - and I'm looking to lose weight in a safe way (if you send me ads for "Hoodia" or another stupid diet I will ignore). I am trying to lose weight but I can't resist food at all or eat in moderation! I've been getting an hour to an hour and a half of exercise everyday so I'm on the right track, but how can I stop eating too much?
Lose Weight? I'd like to lose some weight. I don't want to harm myself by using diet pills or anything like that. I'm asking this to people who have lost weight... what diet plan did you use? Your own(If so, describe) or one already out there, let me know. I got graduation in a couple months and I'd like to drop a few pounds before then. So thanks for the help ahead of time.

lose weight? i'm 18 and a half, 5 foot 2 and about 135 pounds. i'd like to get down to 120-125 pounds by the end of the summer (late august so i have about 8/9 weeks?) and lose one size so my jeans wont be so tight anymore haha i love working out but i can't seem to control my hunger. i'll eat a ton of food, and they go mountain biking for an hour and then do pilates...i've tried to cut back on food but then it seems like i don't have enough energy to work out at my usual intensity, and i end up just going overbored and pig out again... i have a full time summer job. and it seems like right now lunch is the hardest time of the day to eat healthy portions because i'm home for a whole hour...would adding slim fast hunger control shakes or something to replace my lunch make me full enough to lose weight? sorry this is so long. any suggestions on hunger control/weight loss tips...thanks:)

Lose weight? ok...I am 18 years old, 160 pounds, & 5'1 or 5'2. I have a big butt and thick legs. I looked up my BMI, and I am at the risk of being overweight. Is there something I can do to lose a couple of pounds. My goal is to lose about 10 pounds. I am not fat-fat, but Im thick. I have heard that 6-8 glasses of water makes you lose weight. Also 24 oz of milk a day does the same. Does hoodia work, I kind of want to look into it. I love dancing, so I might just dance 30 minutes a day or somethin to fulfill my physical actiity needs. Any suggestions? I want to look better :)
